All men are not created evil.

There is this nifty little place that Dawson revealed to me a few months ago, a place where (just like the olden days) you could drive up in whatever car you just happened to own, park yourself on a nice lot, tune your radio to the appropriate station and watch a film on the huge white screen from the comfort and semi-privacy of your vehicle. Yes, people, I’m talking about a lovely drive-in movie theater. Before Dawson told me about it, I didn’t even know that they still existed. But suffice it to say, drive-in’s are awesome. Perhaps it’s the loner in me, but I love having my own little space and not having to deal with the lame-o’s talking on their cell phones during the movie, or the fatties scrunching their candy wrappers and munching on their rather loud snacks. Not that I’m completely innocent of the two latter things, but I at least make an attempt to be as quiet as possible when I’m in a theater with 2934802 other people. And yes, that number is totally realistic.
So, to get to the whole point of this post, Dawson and I saw a movie at the drive-in last night. The boyfriend came up with the freaking awesome idea (and I say this sincerely, not sarcastically) to take his truck to the drive-in so that we could hang out in the truck bed bundled up with blankets and pillows instead of being couped up in the cab. Sounds crazy? No, it doesn’t, it actually sounds quite fun, right? Yes. Yes it does, my lovelies.
We packed up about ten pillows, five or six blankets and a pad that we could put on the floor of the truck bed so that we could revel in our comfort. After getting a few snacks at Lucky we headed off at 8-something o’clock and wiggled in anticipation.
Okay, maybe we weren’t wiggling, exactly. But we totally could have if we had wanted to. Which we didn’t.
Once we got to the drive-in we set up our little love nest in the truck bed and settled down. It was amazingly comfy to my ultimate surprise. The blankets and each other’s body heat kept us rather warm despite the cool night air and we were happy little bees, I must say.
We saw Igor, what with suicidal bunnies and Shrek-level adult jokes I’m not sure is 100% kid oriented, but it is really good nonethless. I really enjoyed the movie, enjoyed being bundled up in the back of Dawson’s truck and simply adored spending another good night with my boy.
If you ever get the chance to go to a drive-in in a truck, I recommend it. And if you do it soon enough where you can go see Igor, I recommend that, too. The critics say that the movie is so-so, but who wants to listen to those stuffy loserfaces anyway?
Is it bad that I absolutely adore suicidal bunnies?

I thought not.

AS YOU SHOULD. Because it’s awesome! Perhaps Dawson and I will see you there someday? :P
